
Tibetan Private ITI
The Tibetan Private Industrial Training Institute, funded by SOS Kinderdorf International Austria, is under the administration of the Tibetan Children’s Village, Dharamsala. It is located at Selakui, 17km from Dehradun. In today’s increasingly open economy, as in every other sphere of life, there is unprecedented competition in the labour job market. Thousands of Tibetan students are passing out of schools and colleges every year into a limited job market where only the fittest can survive. As a result, unemployment and related social problems threaten to increase in the coming years in the Tibetan community. Tibetan Private ITI was established in response to this, with the goal of educating Tibetan youth with a variety of vocational and technical skills in various crafts, allowing them to work in industries and community centres in India and overseas, or start their own business for self-employment.
Vocational skills training
Vocational education is training that equips the students with practical experience and technical skills in a specific type of field. It prepares learners for jobs in manual and practical activities.
Soft Skills training
Soft skills training give benefit for Empowerment, Mastery & Purpose ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, employers, clients and customers, friends and family members etc. Soft Skills training also helps in relationship building and improvement of time management, organizational skills.
Up-skilling programmes
A development program brings all employees to a higher level so that they all have similar skills and knowledge. This helps reduce any weak links within the company who rely heavily on others to complete basic work tasks.

Every courses available under the categories of Service, Hotel and Technical trades in Tibetan Private ITI, Dehradun are meant to fulfill the student’s desire and passion at their hightest level of efficiency and proficiency.
ITI stands for Industrial Training Institute which can be done after 10th or after 12th in any stream. If you are interested in going for higher study then you can go for diploma as a lateral entry after you can get a good job than ITI candidates. In lateral entry scheme candidate can directly promoted to 2nd year.
Alternatively, one can get job in five star hotels, technical workshops and other service sector in both govt. and non-govt.
ITI is a certificate course. It depends upon the trade you choose, varying from 1 to 2 years exclusive of industrial training.
